Sound with Direction,Touch Reimagined | Live from BESTAR at CEIC 2025

2025-11-11

The Consumer Electronics Innovation Conference 2025 (CEIC 2025) was successfully held in Shenzhen from November 6 to 8. With the theme of “New Electronics · New Experience · New Consumption,” the event brought together nearly 300 technology companies, comprehensively showcasing the latest achievements and cutting-edge trends in consumer electronics. The conference aimed to build a complete display chain, from underlying technologies to innovative products and user experience.

BESTAR participated in this exhibition with an upgraded booth design and display plan, presenting its latest achievements in intelligent acoustics and piezoelectric technology, which attracted a large number of professional visitors for discussion and interaction.
Among the innovative products showcased, the directional speaker stood out as a highlight due to its clever application concept. Based on directional sound technology, the speaker can concentrate sound waves like a beam and control their propagation within a specific sector-shaped area.

When visitors entered the designated sound field area directly in front of the device, they could clearly hear the commentary synchronized with the displayed video. Once stepping out of that area, the sound rapidly attenuated, effectively preventing sound interference among different booths in the exhibition hall. This “sound appears when people arrive and disappears when they leave” experience conveyed a strong sense of technological sophistication and received high praise from attendees.
The technology works by modulating audio signals onto high-frequency ultrasonic waves and leveraging the inherent strong directivity of ultrasound to achieve directional transmission of audible sound. Notably, this technology has moved beyond exhibition demonstrations and is already being piloted in smart transportation scenarios in multiple cities across China (such as Changzhou and Yancheng). For example, it is used at pedestrian crosswalks to deliver voice prompts directionally, effectively reducing noise pollution in public spaces.

In addition to the directional sound system, BESTAR also showcased its diversified product portfolio. The vibration feedback virtual button solution simulates the tactile feel of physical button presses through precise vibration control, enhancing the accuracy and experience of human-machine interaction on virtual interfaces. The piezoelectric micro pump features ultra-low power consumption and compact size, making it particularly suitable for thermal management in portable electronic devices such as smartphones and AR/VR glasses. Meanwhile, the multilayer piezoelectric ceramic components, enabled by a unique stacked design, deliver high-precision control and hold broad application potential in fields such as precision manufacturing and medical equipment.

As the global consumer electronics industry undergoes a historic shift from technology following to innovation leadership, CEIC 2025 served not only as a technological showcase but also as a platform for driving industrial upgrading and promoting global collaboration. Although the exhibition has concluded, innovation continues. BESTAR will keep deepening the integration of acoustic technology with artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and other frontier technologies, contributing new momentum to the global consumer electronics industry.
